 Why changing the whole bulb including the plastic case if only the bulb is defect?

When having bulb only your old bulb module (plastic case) is used and it is replaced by a new Osram, Philips bulb, the same bulb which was developed for your projector.

So, the old P-VIP™ bulb is traded in a new P-VIP™ bulb, it is the matter of one and the same bulb.

Additionally the installation in the existing module proves to be very easy.
